What is SmartAtTheStart.Com?
Well, truth be told the original idea for the domain name in 2008 was for an online educational product. The idea was to come up with an education for geniuses program. Still have the ebook somewhere, but along the way the concept changed dramatically.
At the end of 2009, after showing my dad how to use Twitter and Facebook, he mentioned that I should turn this social media “thing” into a business.
The only problem was a lack of funds. With only $50 in my bank account at the time, it was a choice between buying business cards and an email marketing provider or a new domain name. That is why to this day the company still operates as Full House Investments, LLC.
Despite the lack of funds, we started finding clients who were interested in our high quality social media campaigns. To help get the word out about the business, we started a daily blog on AndyNathan.Net.
The blog is still live, but not as active anymore due to the struggles of servicing clients and blogging on a daily basis.
The 1,000 blog posts serve as a large online tutorial to help small business owners with a wide variety of topics like search engine optimization, social media marketing, website design, content marketing, email marketing, paid advertising, and other topics.
In fact, the blog was so successful, we started offering blogging services in 2011. Now, over half of our business revolves around content marketing for blogs, eBooks, email newsletters, and other online content.
The cool thing is that over the past decade, I have been able to work with hundreds of entrepreneurs in hundreds of industries through the services we offer, as well as the coaching and training classes we provide through Smart at The Start.
